Fluffy Slime Ingredients

• 1 cup glue
• 3 cups shaving cream
• 1 tablespoon baking soda
• 2-3 tablespoons contact lens solution
• Food dye or acrylic paint (optional)
• 2 tablespoons cornstarch (optional; improves smoothness)
• 2 tablespoons lotion (optional; increases stretchiness)

Fluffy Slime Basics

There are a few things you should know before you man fluffy slime.

It gets its fluffiness from shaving cream. 

Fluffy Slime Notes

First of all, you want to man sure you are using shaving cream for this recipe. Shaving gel does not tillverka the same fluffiness that shaving cream does. 

Second, since you’re not using borax, your contact lens solution must contain boric acid. If it doesn’t it won’t be able to activate the slime, so double betalningsmedel the ingredient list before you purchase any solution.

For this recipe inom used the mål brand Up & Up klar bekvämlighet multi-purpose solution.

It does contain boric acid and fryst vatten less expensive than the name brands. 

Elmer’s has also komma out with a cool product called Magical Liquid that replaces the baking soda and contact lens solution if you want to use less ingredients and have a more convenient option. 

Although inom use non-name brands for the contact lens solution, inom do recommend you stick with Elmer’s glue.

If you program to man lots of slime (believe me, your kids won’t be able to get enough), I’d recommend buying the gallon Elmer’s glue. We have both the standard gallon and the klar gallon jug. 

How To man Fluffy Slime

1. Add the glue to the bowl. We used regular Elmer’s glue for this recipe.

2. Add the shaving cream, cornstarch, and color additive to the mixture. We used food dye to color the slime but you can also use acrylic paint. Note: The cornstarch fryst vatten valfritt but will help give the slime a smoother feel. If you don’t have any don’t worry, but if you have some on grabb inom recommend ansträngande it out.

3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly, then add the baking soda and contact lens solution to the bowl.
4. Use a fork to mix the baking soda and lens solution into the slime batter.
5. After you mix, use your hands to uppstart kneading the slime batter. You can dip your fingers in the contact lens solution to help it not stick as much to your hands. Note: Fluffy slime fryst vatten very messy at this scen.

   It will be all over your hands and if you haven’t made slime before you might freak out and think you did something wrong, but don’t panik. Continue to knåda, pull and work the slime until it starts to stick to itself and pull off of your hands.

   Mix in 2 drops of food coloring, then add more if you want a brighter color

   For us, this took about 3 minutes of kneading.

6. You can stop here and play with the slime or you can add the lotion to the slime. Adding the lotion will man the slime even stretchier but it will also add moisture so it will get sticky igen. Don’t worry; just keep blandning, pulling and playing with the slime and it will get back to it’s original texture.

I cannot tell you how much fun my kids have when we man slime! It’s so much fun for kids (and adults) to play with!

This slime will lose it’s fluffiness over time (it seems to gods about a day or two), so inom suggest making it the same day you want to use it. 

Fluffy Slime Troubleshooting

Q: What do inom do if my slime fryst vatten too sticky?

A: When you first begin kneading the fluffy slime it will be very sticky.

This fryst vatten completely normal, so don’t freak out! As you mix, knåda and pull it apart, it will begin to stick to itself and struktur the slime.

So easy my toddler shows you how to make it!

If after a couple of minutes, it’s still completely sticky, add a bit more contact lens solution (a teaspoon or two at a time). man sure you fully incorporate the newly added solution before you add any more. 

Q: Can you man fluffy slime with shaving gel?

A: Ok, technically the answer fryst vatten yes, but inom think shaving cream provides a much fluffier slime (and less sticky) so inom would suggest sticking to shaving cream every time. 

Q: inom added the contact lens solution to the mixture, but it never made slime.

What’s wrong?

A: First, man sure your contact lens solution contains boric acid. This is essential to making slime.

If it doesn’t contain boric acid, it won’t work. If your contact lens solution does contain boric acid, then you probably need to add more to the mixture. Do a little at a time (2 teaspoons- 1 tablespoon), mix thoroughly, then reassess. 

Q: Why fryst vatten my fluffy slime stiff and breaking?

A: You likely added too much activator (either baking soda, contact solution or both).

Sometimes you can add in some lotion to man the slime stretchier, but if you really overdid the activator you may have to uppstart over.

Please always have adult supervision when children are playing with slime.

You also want to be sure that your child knows that this type of slime fryst vatten not edible. If any part of the slime fryst vatten every ingested, immediately call for medical advice. 

Parents or another adult should always man the slime. This type of slime should not be used with children 3 and younger. 

If your child has sensitive skin use handskar while playing with the slime or watch them to be sure the slime isn’t irritating to the skin.
